Establishing dose-response relationships between training load and fatigue can help the planning of training. The aim was to establish the relative importance of external training load measurements to relate to the musculoskeletal response on a group and individual player level. Sixteen elite male rugby league players were monitored across three seasons. Two- to seven-day exponential weighted averages (EWMA) were calculated for total distance, and individualised speed thresholds (via 30-15 Intermittent Fitness Test) derived from global positioning systems. The sit and reach, dorsiflexion lunge, and adductor squeeze tests represented the musculoskeletal response. Partial least squares and repeated measures correlation analyses established the relative importance of training load measures and then investigated their relationship to the collective musculoskeletal response for individual players through the construction of latent variables. On a group level, 2- and 3-day EWMA total distance had the highest relative importance to the collective musculoskeletal response (p less then 0.0001). However, the magnitude of relationships on a group (r value = 0.20) and individual (r value = 0.06) level were trivial to small. The lack of variability in the musculoskeletal response over time suggest practitioners adopting such measures to understand acute musculoskeletal fatigue responses should do so with caution.Renal cortical anisotropy backscattering artifact (CABA) is a focal hyperechoic region where the tubules are parallel to the incident ultrasound beam, reflecting most of the beams to the transducer. To investigate the association between chronic kidney disease (CKD) and the absence of renal CABA in cats. Ultrasonographic renal images of 40 cats with CKD (stage II-IV) and 36 clinically healthy cats were blindly evaluated by two observers to determine the visibility of renal CABA. Inter- and intraobserver agreements were evaluated using McNemar's test. The association between the absence of renal CABA and CKD was assessed using Fisher's exact test. Excellent intraobserver and substantial interobserver agreements were demonstrated. A significant association (P less then .0001) between absent renal CABA and CKD stage was revealed in all cats. Cats with CKD had an increased risk of the absence of renal CABA (Odds ratio, 56.0; 95% CI, 13.8-227.0) compared with the clinically healthy cats. The absence of renal CABA revealed 87.5% sensitivity and 88.9% specificity to detect CKD in all cats, and 91.7% sensitivity and 83.3% specificity in aged cats. Our study demonstrated a correlation between feline CKD and the absence of renal CABA, providing a feasible and alternative method for feline CKD evaluation.
To assess differences in the perioperative complication rate between patients with placenta accreta spectrum (PAS) with and without complicating factors.
This retrospective cohort study included subjects who underwent cesarean hysterectomy with histology-proven PAS between 23 0/7 and 42 0/7 weeks gestational age (GA) from 1 July 2008 to 11 April 2017. Perioperative outcomes were compared between those with uncomplicated PAS and "complicated PAS," defined as PAS subjects who experienced ≥2 bleeding episodes, preterm premature rupture of membranes (PPROM), or premature contractions requiring tocolysis.
Overall, 26 complicated PAS and 27 uncomplicated PAS cases were compared; no difference in the rate of perioperative complications was identified. An increased proportion of complicated PAS cases required blood product transfusion before delivery 2 (40%), 3 (27.3%), and 2 patients (20%) for those with PPROM, preterm contractions, and ≥2 bleeding episodes respectively, compared to patients with uncomplicated PAS, having no transfusions (
 = .001). Time of delivery was earlier for patients with complicated compared to uncomplicated PAS (median GA 30.9 [Q1 = 27.9; Q3 = 31.9] and 34.9 [Q1 = 32.1; Q3 = 35.7],

To evaluate the safety and efficacy of transbrachial and transfemoral approaches combined with visceral protection for the endovascular treatment of juxtarenal aortoiliac occlusive disease (AIOD) over an average 19-month follow-up period.
In this retrospective analysis, all patients with juxtarenal AIOD at a single institution were reviewed from June 2015 to January 2020. Patient characteristics, angiographic results, and follow-up outcomes were retrospectively recorded. The indications for treatment were critical limb threatening ischemia in 12 patients and bilateral claudication in five patients. Percutaneous access via the left brachial artery was first obtained to recanalize the infrarenal occluded lesions. After that, femoral accesses were achieved. A 4-Fr catheter, a 4mm balloon, or a 6-Fr 90-cm-long sheath was used to complete visceral artery protection.
A total of 17 juxtarenal AIOD patients (14 males; mean age, 63.4 ± 8.1years) underwent endovascular treatment. The technical success rate was 10atment of juxtarenal AIOD.

Two studies (total N = 676) found that all expressions of narcissism relate to a stronger desire for status. Within three-factor models, this relation was not due solely to variance shared by grandiose and vulnerable narcissism, but also to phenotype-specific components. Grandiose narcissism was also strongly associated with perceived attainment of status, but not desire for or perceived attainment of inclusion, whereas vulnerable narcissism was strongly associated with desire for inclusion, but not perceived attainment of status or inclusion. Three-factor models of narcissism revealed comparable results. The findings delineate the social and motivational profiles of different expressions of narcissism, helping to illuminate narcissism's fundamental character.
