And were found that have apoptotic effects on cancerous cell lines. In the light of this information, the aromatase inhibition potentials of 2g and 2l compounds, which are the most active derivatives, were examined in vitro and it was determined that they showed a similar inhibition profile with letrazole. Interaction modes between aromatase enzyme and compounds 2g and 2l were investigated by docking studies. In conclusion, findings of these study indicate that compounds 2g and 2l possess significant anticancer activity. At present therapeutic options for severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) are very limited. We designed and synthesized three sets of small molecules using quinoline scaffolds. A series of quinoline conjugates (10a-l, 11a-c, and 12a-e) by incorporating 1,2,3-triazole were synthesized via a modified microwave-assisted click chemistry technique. Among the synthesized conjugates, 4-((1-(2-chlorophenyl)-1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)methoxy)-6-fluoro-2-(trifluoromethyl)quinoline (10g) and 6-fluoro-4-(2-(1-(4-methoxyphenyl)-1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)ethoxy)-2-(trifluoromethyl)quinoline (12c) show high potency against SARS-CoV-2. The selectivity index (SI) of compounds 10g and 12c also indicates the significant efficacy compared to the reference drugs.
Country of origin might affect vaccine uptake in children born to immigrants. We aimed to evaluate differences in childhood vaccination coverage (VC) and timeliness by macro-area of origin of foreign mothers residing in Italy.
Multicentre retrospective birth cohorts.
We analysed data of 23,287 children born in 2009-2014 to foreign women in the cities of Rome, Turin and Treviso. We retrieved data through record-linkage of the population, vaccination and birth registries. We estimated VCs at different ages for vaccines against tetanus, measles and meningococcal group-C, using the Kaplan-Meier method. Factors associated with vaccine uptake were evaluated using multilevel Poisson models.
Estimates of VC at any age and for all antigens were significantly lower in children born to women from Asia and higher in children born to women from Africa, as compared to other macro-areas. Similar differences by area of origin were observed for timeliness; independently of mother's sociodemographic characteristics and neonatal outcomes, the probability of delay vaccination after 2 years of age for each antigen was highest in children born to women from Asia. The risk of missed vaccination for all antigens was significantly higher in children born to younger and unemployed women.
Factors related to area of origin (e.g., cultural habits, language skills) are likely to affect parents' decision to vaccinate their children. These factors, as well as sociodemographic characteristics, should be adequately investigated and addressed to increase vaccine uptake in foreign children, especially those born to Asian women.

Live embryonated Ross 708 broiler hatching eggs (2,880) were randomly assigned to one of the following in ovo injection treatments (1) diluent (50 μL); diluent (50 μL) containing either (2) 2.4 μg D3; (3) 2.4 μg 25OHD3; or (4) 2.4 μg D3 + 2.4 μg 25OHD3. Eggs were injected at 18 d of incubation (doi) using an Inovoject multiegg injector. At hatch, 18 male chicks were randomly placed in each of 6 replicate pens belonging to each in ovo injection and, dietary treatment combination. Birds were fed either a commercial diet or a diet restricted in calcium and phosphorous (ReCaP) content by 20% for the starter, grower and finisher dietary phases. Broiler performance was determined in each dietary phase and breast muscle yield was also determined at 14 and 40 d of age (doa). At 41 and 46 doa, birds were processed for determination of WBM, carcass weight, and the absolute and relative (% of carcass weight) weights of various carcass parts. Compared to birds fed the commercial diet, birds fed ReCaP diets experienced a reduction in performance from 14 to 40 doa, in breast meat yield at 41 and 46 doa, and in WBM at 41 and 46 doa. At 14 and 40 doa, breast meat yield in birds that received an in ovo injection of 25OHD3 alone was higher compared to birds that received diluent alone or a combination of D3 and 25OHD3. Lower WBM incidence in ReCaP-fed birds was associated with a lower breast weight. An increase in breast meat yield in response to 25OHD3 alone may be due to improved immunity and small intestine morphology. However, further study is needed to determine the aforementioned effects.Avian coccidiosis continues to be one of the costliest diseases of commercial poultry. Understanding the epidemiology of Eimeria species in poultry flocks and the resistance profile to common anticoccidials is important to design effective disease prevention and control strategies. This study examined litter samples to estimate the prevalence and distribution of Eimeria species among broiler farms in 4 geographic regions of Colombia. A total of 245 litter samples were collected from 194 broiler farms across representative regions of poultry production between March and August 2019. The litter samples were processed for oocysts enumeration and speciation after sporulation. Inflammation inhibitor End-point polymerase chain reaction (PCR) analysis was conducted to confirm the presence of Eimeria species. Anticoccidial sensitivity was determined with 160 Ross AP males in 5 treatment groups noninfected, nonmedicated control (NNC), infected, nonmedicated control (INC), infected salinomycin treated (SAL, dose 66 ppm), infected diclazuril ain (BWG) or feed conversion (FCR). For the global resistance index (GI) classified SAL and MET.CLO as good efficacy (85.79 and 85.49, respectively) and DIC as limited efficacy (74.52%). These results demonstrate the ubiquitous nature of Eimeria spp. and identifies the current state of sensitivity to commonly used anticoccidials in a region of poultry importance for Colombia.
