To reflect on the relationship and importance of the environmental theory regarding practices for promotion, prevention, and treatment of COVID-19.
A theoretical-reflexive study about the COVID-19 pandemic in light of the environmental theory proposed by Florence Nightingale.
It is observed that the application of the theoretical foundations proposed by the environmental theory is related to the current practices used in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
It is believed that the theoretical basis is fundamental for the critical-reflexive training of the nursing professional, for the consolidation of Nursing as a science; therefore, it could provide a foundation in nowadays battle against the pandemic.

To identify the available evidence in the scientific literature about the strategies or interventions used to promote hope in people with chronic diseases.
An integrative literature review of literature published between 2009-2019, which was conducted in online browsers/databases b-On, EBSCO, PubMed, Medline, ISI, SciELO, PsycINFO, Google Scholar. Forty-one studies were found, of which eight met the inclusion criteria.
Most studies used a quantitative approach. There was a predominance of studies from Asia and America, addressing patients with multiple sclerosis, diabetes, congestive heart failure, and cancer. Opicapone research buy Hope-based interventions were categorized by the hope attributes experiential process, spiritual/transcendence process, rational thought process, and relational process.
Hope-based interventions, in its essence, are good clinical practices in the physical, psychological, social and spiritual domains. This is congruent with the vision of nursing, first proposed by Florence Nightingale. There seem to be gaps in the literature regarding specific hope promoting interventions.

to demonstrate scientific evidence on incidence and factors associated with contrast-induced nephropathy in patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention.
an integrative review carried out in the VHL, PubMed, VHL Regional Portal and SciELO databases, of articles published between 2014 and 2019.
the sample consisted of five original articles, two cohorts, two control cases and a clinical trial. The incidence of contrast-induced nephropathy ranged from 6% to 24%. It stands out among patients with advanced age, male gender, diabetes mellitus, systemic arterial hypertension, volume of contrast infused and osmolarity. Intravenous hydration, sodium bicarbonate, ascorbic acid and statin were important prophylactic agents.
this study envisioned the main risk factors for contrast-induced nephropathy in patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention and elucidated preventive measures that guide multidisciplinary health care aiming at a quality and safe care.

to assess the presence and extent of Primary Health Care attributes in Campina Grande, Paraíba.
this is a cross-sectional study with 202 professionals from the Basic Health Units. The Primary Care Assessment Tool, Brazil, was used, which includes eight attributes of primary care whose scores were converted into a scale from 0 to 10, with those considered satisfactory > 6.60.
the general score mean was 7.6, but First contact access obtained a score of 3.7. Dental surgeons attributed the worst scores for all attributes (p <0.05). Permanent education activity was associated with a high general score (p <0.01).
with the exception of First contact access, the other attributes are present, but initiatives by teams and managers are necessary for its expansion, with permanent education being the main strategy in this process.

to verify the reliability and validity of the health promotion behavior scale, of the Nursing Outcomes Classification, in university students.
methodological study carried out with 324 university students from a federal institution, based in a city in the Northeast of Brazil. Internal consistency was verified using Cronbach's alpha and item-total correlation. Validity was performed through exploratory factor analysis via main components.
the scale showed a Cronbach's alpha of 0.83, showing good reliability. The item-total correlations remained above 0.3 for most items, only items 01, 13, 19 and 20 were below this mark. In the exploratory factor analysis, two components were extracted whose variances explained 44.54% of the instrument's composition.
the health promotion behavior scale showed good reliability and validity, demonstrating that it can be applied to the population of university students.

To assess the association between the comfort level of chronic hemodialysis patients with sociodemographic and clinical variables using the General Comfort Questionnaire.
Cross-sectional study, with a quantitative approach, considering 180 chronic hemodialysis renal patients. Two instruments were used one for sociodemographic and clinical variables; and the General Comfort Questionnaire, Brazilian version. Mann-Whitney's, Kruskal-Wallis's, and Spearman's tests were used for data analysis.
The overall comfort level of patients was 78.16%. The socio-cultural domain presented the lowest level of comfort and the psychospiritual the highest level. Some variables were significantly associated with the domains, such as marital status, education, and considering oneself to be anxious.
In the four domains of comfort, it was possible to identify patients' needs, such as the presence and intensity of pain, anxiety, constipation and type of access, making it possible to guide nurses in the systematization of care and improve the comfort of these patients.
