蘋果（Apple）先前舉行的秋季發表會當中，發表了今年度的新款手機 iPhone 15 系列，其中 iPhone 15 Pro 導入了光線追蹤技術，強化了遊戲性能讓手機也能玩 3A 大作，其中《惡靈古堡 8 村莊》 iPhone／iPad 版確定會在 10 月 30 日推出 ，系統建議玩家使用手把操作。
iPhone 15 Pro 採用了新一代 Apple A17 Pro 晶片，由業界首款 3 奈米技術製成，提供了顯著的效能提升，尤其在遊戲方面，如《惡靈古堡 8 村莊》等大型主機遊戲現在也能在 iPhone 15 Pro 上流暢運行，意味着手機將可以執行更多繁重的大型遊戲。
根據 Capcom 官網消息指出，《惡靈古堡 8 村莊》預定會在 10 月 30 日推出 iPhone／iPad 版本，目前遊戲已上架 Apple 商店，需使用英文名稱「Resident Evil Village」搜尋才會出現頁面，遊戲採用免費下載的形式，讓玩家先體驗一部分遊戲內容後，再決定是否購買正式版。
而為了因應遊戲上架 iOS HH88平台，Capcom 表示遊戲在 10 月 30 日至 11 月 20 日首賣期間，玩家可以用四折的價格入手遊戲完整內容，不過遊戲的 DLC 內容「温特斯擴充包」並沒有包含在內，需額外購買。
