The Band Toto Asia
Toto was expanding its production facilities abroad and doing business in France, Germany, Indonesia, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and the People's Republic of China. 토지노 커뮤니티 considered North America as a growth market for Washlet bidets and toilets, in contrast to its "base" markets of Japan and China.
Dhaniram Toto recorded Toto words so that the next generation could be able to read them. However, many of the words were being replaced by foreign words, such as dui from Bengali for verandah.
Origins
Established in 1917, Toto's early years were a mirror of Japan's economic growth. In the beginning of its existence, the company made goods to meet demand for new, modern urban housing. To do this, it employed the first tunnel kiln in the nation to make ceramics in a continuous flow. It also pioneered automation for production control, allowing greater efficiency and a more consistent production.
In the late 1980s, the company began to expand overseas to take advantage of sales and new markets. It created the Cera Trading Company, importing and marketing other products from other manufacturers to complement its own lines of sanitary earthenware and plumbing fittings. This strategy helped increase sales and expand the market share of the company globally.
By the 1990s, Toto had shifted its focus to research and development of household appliances that are water-related. It also upgraded its distribution system to better serve customers and increase profit. The company employed the same just-in time approach in its supply chain management as well as sales program. This resulted in a higher degree of customer satisfaction.
Toto has been able to continue to innovate on the toilet technology. Its latest toilet has a powerful, environmentally-friendly tornado flush. Toto uses recycled water in its manufacturing process, and has a green purchasing policy. Toto also produces faucets, bathtubs and hand dryers with greater energy efficiency than conventional models.
The company's first museum opened in 2015 and features exhibits about Toto's iconic products and their development, its group companies (all that deal with ceramics) as well as the history of plumbing and other products such as bath units and, in a separate gallery, Toto products sold around the world. The museum even includes a bathroom with a WASHLET toilet as well as other toilet-related innovations.
Before the formation of Toto the band, members of the band did session work for many musicians. 토지노 커뮤니티 , drummer Jeff Porcaro and guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather all performed on the album Silk Degrees by Boz Scaggs. They also appeared on records by Steely Don, Seals and Crofts and Sonny and Cher.
Discography
You would expect a group with a name such as Asia to be a prog rock group however it's actually a fairly straight forward rock band. The group started out as a quartet and recorded two albums - 1979's self-titled debut and 1980's Armed to the Teeth. The group has a wide musical background but their biggest success came in 1982 with Toto IV.
The album was a major blockbuster, however it did not come without its share of problems. The record companies placed Toto under pressure to deliver the top single or else they would pull the album. Luckily for Toto they did, with the help of the smash hit single "Africa."
Toto's musical mastery is the result of their previous experiences. Before joining the group, members worked as session musicians for artists such as Boz Scaggs. Steely Dan and Seals and Crofts. Their distinctive sound has become the standard for the '80s, and has influenced many contemporary artists.
The album begins hard with tracks like Running Out of Time or Unknown Soldier that show the band's ability to write fantastic AOR tunes that slowly get into your head. The album also features more jazzy, slower tracks such as The Little Things and Chinatown. The album closes with Great Expectations. This song is a mix of folk and distorted AOR which could appear completely unnatural, but actually works very well.
After Toto IV, the band's fortunes changed to the downside. David Hungate left the band to pursue a solo career. The band was dominated by drummers. In 1984, Bobby Kimball was fired from the group in the after he was charged with drug abuse. the group continued to perform as a trio with Michael Porcaro and Steve Lukather.
Despite the turbulence, Toto forged ahead and released Isolation, which was not as successful as IV. However, the band still had a successful chart-topping album in 1992 with Kingdom of Desire. The album was the last of Toto's lineup and the debut of Simon Phillips, a new singer.

Line-up
The band's third album, Turn Back, marked a return to the classic sextet arrangement of previous albums and was a more powerful, constant effort with a harder edge than Hydra. The more edgier sound of Turn Back reflected the development of the group. The drummer Bobby Kimball's increasing proficiency was evident in the vocals of Joseph Williams, who had become more confident and mature. David Paich's keyboard skills were as well more refined, more precise and less akin to previous recordings.
After touring to promote the album, the band recorded a live concert in Amsterdam that was released as a two-CD set entitled Falling In Between Live on Eagle Records. The studio album came out just a few months later and the band embarked on a world-wide tour in support of it. In this time, keyboardist Greg Phillinganes filled in for Paich, and bassist David Hungate left the group to spend more time with his family.
In 1998, Paich and Lukather started searching through old demo tapes and tapes to make a new album featuring songs that were never recorded before. It was completed as a double-album titled Then & Now in 2001. It was the first album in the band's history that did not include one single track with the word "A" in its title and it included one previously not released track, "Kari-Anne".
By 2003, Toto had begun to decline in popularity. The fourth album, Old Is New, was a commercial flop and the vocalist Williams suffered from a bad case of laryngitis which hampered his singing. Additionally, Hungate returned to Nashville, while drummer Leland Sklar was replaced by Shem von Schroeck.
Downes, Wetton Palmer and Howe, the original members of Asia, met in England early in 2006 to discuss the possibility that the group could be reformed. This lineup, with the exception of Howe (who was a member of Yes at the time) was later referred to as Toto XIV and toured extensively.
In 2010, the band reunited for another reunion tour with a slightly different line-up, including guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather, drummer John Pierce, bassist Shannon Forrest, and multi-instrumentalists Warren Ham and Dominique Taplin. The group also featured an appearance by singer Michael McDonald and a backing vocalist named Mabvuto Carver.
